How To Participate?

Whether you are a band, a solo singer, a musician or involved in the music and entertainment business in some other way, there is a chance for you to get involved in the best up and coming festival of 2017! Read on to see how!

GUIDELINES FOR BANDS IN 2017

We are a new up and coming festival and constantly on the lookout for new and fresh talent. For that reason, we would like to invite bands and artists to play at our summer festival planned for 24th-28th August.

Here’s what to do in order to impress our organisers.

  • SEND US A DEMO

The demo should be no longer than ten minutes in length and could be either an audio file or a video. We can accept submissions by both email and post.

Obviously, the demo is your best promotional product in your attempt to woo our decision makers, so it should be of the highest sound quality possible! If you have opted to send a video or DVD, then please make sure we can actually see, as well as hear something!

  • INCLUDE YOUR PRESS RELEASE

If your band doesn’t have a manager or a press release available, then you very quickly need to get, at least the latter, together!

What we are looking for is the basics about you and your music. Who you are, where you are from, where you were formed, how long you have been together and the influences on your music. Also, please don’t forget to send personal bios and information about the individual band members in your group. So that’s name, age and any other interesting or relevant background information about you. Don’t forget to mention to say who plays which instrument and who the vocalist is.

  • PLEASE SEND ANY PROMOTIONAL GIVEAWAYS THAT YOU HAVE

By this we mean any promotional products (i.e. promo CDs or vinyl) that you have available and may be looking to sell at the festival.

Of course, this could extend beyond CDs and DVDs or even vinyl records, in today’s business we are aware that most of your income as band is either going to come from paid gigging or selling the promotional business items that go with touring. So, that would largely be things like t-shirts, promotional cups and even stationery.

If you don’t already these types of corporate promotional items then you may be pleasantly surprised to discover they are not as expensive as you think!

Even more surprising may be how items such as branded pens have been known to sell like hot cakes at previous UK festivals – because people are always in need of something to write with when they are out and about, especially when their mobile phone battery has gone dead after a couple of days in a field!

  • REMEMBER TO INCLUDE ALL YOUR DETAILS!

Please make sure to include a working phone number (more than one is good) as well as an email address, so that we can contact you for more information, should we be interested.

Also, please make sure you include your availability for the week and that you are definitely able to play those dates!

  • BE PATIENT

Finally, if you do not hear back from us straight away, please bear with us. We anticipate a lot of interest in bands wanting to play at Kaliakra and it may take us a while to work through all of them!

Your patience is much appreciated!
